Welcome to Community Service
Community Service is an important part of our organization. On a year-round basis, we make Wish Pillows for Give Kids the World, hats, booties, & blankets for Care Wear, walker bags for cancer care centers and home health patients, toiletry zip pouches & pillow cases for local shelters and flood victims. In December, we collect baby items for B.E.T.A. in Titusville. If you are able to help with one of our many projects, please don’t hesitate to let us know. You can join others for community service sewing or sew on your own.
One group meets in Mims weekly for Community Service Sewing day.
Tuesdays, 9:30AM – 12 noon in Carpenter Hall at Holy Spirit Church, 2309 Holder Road, Mims, FL
Serger, sewing machine & non-sewing stations are available. All materials are provided through donations and volunteers are welcome. For more information or to donate needed materials, get in touch with us.
Another group meets in the Daytona area to sew for specific needs of the community. See our Seaside Stitchers Neighborhood Group for more information.
And, if you can’t make it to a group meeting, here are some projects you can sew from home:
